Creation of a new international campus

Context

Emlyon business school has established itself in the heart of Lyon, strengthening its local presence while pursuing its international ambitions.

As a mission-driven institution, emlyon is committed to the greater good, and this innovative vision is reflected in its new campus, designed to accommodate up to 3,500 students.

In this context, we were entrusted as general contractor to design and deliver three key spaces: an auditorium, common areas including a cafeteria, and a coworking café.

Our work

Starting from an umpty shell, we took on both the design and build phases of these spaces, ensuring that each one reflects emlyon’s commitment to innovation and modernity.

The auditorium, the largest space on campus, seats 350 people. It was meticulously designed to provide optimal comfort for users, with flawless acoustics that ensure an immersive sound experience. The discreet integration of electrical and audiovisual cabling allowed us to create a clean, aesthetically pleasing, and fully functional environment for conferences and events.

A cafeteria featuring a grab-and-go counter was designed to meet the diverse needs of students, staff, and external visitors. These spaces create a lively dynamic on campus, offering places for connection and interaction throughout the day, while seamlessly blending dining and informal work areas.

The coworking café, located on the third floor, is a hybrid space tailored to foster collaboration, creativity, and relaxation. While primarily designed for faculty, it also accommodates professional events. Its flexible layout adapts to the varied needs of this renowned institution, maintaining an atmosphere that encourages teamwork and innovation.

Thanks to our expertise and the agility of our teams, we adapted our solutions throughout the project to ensure that each space perfectly met the school’s expectations. We designed inspiring, functional spaces that align with new ways of working while adhering to emlyon’s timelines and quality standards.
